I like having A Martinez on the show, especially working with Dorian. I will miss him terribly! Lola, on the other hand, will be a welcome departure. I find her very annoying, especially because she can't act! http://www.soapcentral.com/oltl/news/2009/0413-banus_martinez.php A Martinez and Camila Banus will exit One Life to Live in the upcoming weeks. Their exits will bring about the end of the Montez family's short stay in Llanview. Though there was initial excitement about their arrivals, Martinez and Banus have been with the ABC soap for less than a year. A Martinez (Ray Montez) and Camila Banus (Lola Montez) will be written out in the weeks ahead, thus ending the Montez family's time in Llanview. When Martinez first joined One Life to Live in September 2007, it was seen as a casting coup for the ABC soap. It was soon learned, however, that Martinez's presence was never intended to be long-term. Instead, One Life to Live execs hoped that the high caliber actor's appearance would help usher in the rest of his family. Still, Martinez made occasional appearances in Llanview, and it had been rumored that the writers might explore a possible pairing of Ray with Robin Strasser's Dorian Lord. On her fan hotline, Strasser seemed overjoyed about working with Martinez. Now it appears that plans for a "DoRay" pairing have been dashed. According to Internet chatter, Martinez did not want to relocate his family to New York from California. Camila Banus, who plays Martinez's on-screen daughter, appears to be caught up in Martinez's decision to leave One Life to Live. The actress will also be exiting the show in the weeks ahead. Banus made her daytime debut in October 2008. The other member of the Montez family, Jacqueline Hendy (Vanessa Montez) exited the show in February when her character was deported to Colombia. An ABC spokesperson declined to comment on the reports of Martinez and Banus' impending departures.

I don't watch One Life to Live, although I read enough to know what is going on. I think having A Martinez on One Life to Live on a short term basis, is like when General Hospital brought Genie Francis back to GH for a short term basis the last time. People want these people to stick around. They can't invest in the story if they know it won't last long.

I think David is coming back again, unless they meant that remote of him before his commercial.

I didn't like Ray of first but then I guess that was the idea but he has gotten better. I never liked Lola and the has just gotten worse. If she hadn't been at the dance during the attack on Blair, I would have thought it was her and that she had done the other killings; it just seemed to fit her.

I have to agree. I wanted to slap Lola from the minute I met her!

I don't care about her. but Ray and Dorian.. that'd be the funniest match-up duo they've had since Asa and ALex and and that'd sure liven up the show! I'd love to see those two hook up! The whole show has gotten stodgy and boring... needs some life!!!

I sort of like A Martinez. I have not watched One Life To Live for some time, so have not kept up on it. But if he was supposed to be it for a short term, then there is nothing you can do.
