McAfee SpamKiller?? Can I make it GO AWAY?

This thing friggin pops up on my computer every few months and hangs around for several days. It doesn't seem to be doing anything other than cause my computer to SLOW DOWN. It's been here for two days now. When I move my cursor over to the little green box it says 0% complete. It really seems to be accomplishing NOTHING but irritating me!
Do you have this on your computer?
Does it actually DO anything?
Is there a way to make it go away??

Never had that, look forward to the responses, though. I bought some stuff from Pareto, was supposed to boost performance, add security, all kinds of stuff... Well, it highjacked my computer, and after having a Norton guy help me out, and removing all kinds of stuff on my own, my pc is still jacked--be careful what you use, caveat emptor or something, that's the lesson we all learn.

Sorry to hear this.I don't have any McAfee products.I have the home edition of Avast antivirus.If it dose nothing but slow down your computer,I think you can get it out of your computer.
