If the "blackbox" flight recorder is never damaged during a plane crash, why isn't the whole damn airplane made out of that stuff?

it wouldn't be able to fly. It would be extremely heavy, and not aerodynamic at all. And blackbox recorders are damaged often.

i think if the whole airplane were made out of the blackbox material, it would be too heavy to fly. even if it is able to fly, it would be very costly for the fuel consumption & only very rich people will be able to fly then.
also, if the airplane crashes, the airplane will be alright outwardly, but the impact will still kill everyone in the airplane, i suppose. so there is no good reason to make one with the material.

i think maybe the materials used in making a plane should allow for it to be light enough to be lifted in the air and safe enough from rain, lightning, corrosion, etc and maybe these materials are different from the materials used in making a "blackbox". maybe they also need affordable materials. it could be that the materials used in making the box are too expensive if also used in the whole plane. these are just things i can think of LOL, but i can be wrong

It would be great if the planes were made out of what every the black box is maade of .Idon't know what it is made of. It might be made out of iron and the plane would be to heavy.I don't know maybe someone knows.
