Does anyone know of any websites or other places I can submit my poetry to? I want to be sure that my work is not going to be stolen by someone, and I am hoping to get my poem read by lots of others. Where do you submit poetry? Has anyone used poetry.com in a while? I haven't checked that site in about 6 years.

Triond is good, just remember that no-where on the internet can keep your work 100% safe... you must copyright it if you want to make sure!

You can post them to Associated Content. I don't think that they pay for poetry submissions but they will pay you for the hits that it gets. It takes a while to start earning money but I get about $30.00 - $40.00 a month for what I have posted plus whatever they pay upfront for reviews or articles. You aren't going to get rich but it is nice to get the PayPal email saying I got a deposit every month. They also pay for referrals so if you know others that want to join or have things that they want to post, I think they pay three or four dollars a person but that's only what I've heard, I've never had any referrals so I don't know the specifics of it. You can check them out at www.associatedcontent.com
