This is a shot of my tomato seedlings. I have 3 cups with Roma, cherry, and Big Boys growing. Been outdoors prepping areas for all my veggies this year today. Been in the 60's and getting to 70 a couple days soon. Are you starting tomatoes indoors? What is the average date you set your plants outside to grow? MIne is the beginning to mid May most years. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Good luck. We reserve a large cherry and grape tomato plant from Bobs each year. I am talking huge here. Maybe 2 to 3 feet tall. They always do good. Bob's is a great place. I live a little over a mile from Bob's in Fridley. I get my donuts there as well that I write about here. Hahahaha! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

When we do plant tomatoes we buy the plant that is about ready to bloom and plant it and wait for the delicious fruit to get ready to eat. yummmmmy I am not really sure about an average day to plant things here.

One of my tomatoes plants got much bigger than all the rest...and mine are higher up than yours. Why is this one plant so much stronger and taller?, they were all planted exactly the same. I have some very good plants and mine are from seeds too.

These were all planted just 9 days ago on April 5th. So they are doing great actually. I got a late start on my seedlings this year. Lazy I guess. Hahaha! Some seeds have a stronger plant DNA is the reason I think. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

When we got our tomato plants last year it was in the middle of summer and they were already starting to grow tomatoes! I honestly don't really see a point of us having a garden seeing as we are renting! Once I get my own house though, you bet I will have a nice garden! Good Luck with your tomatoes, they're looking good so far!

LoL ... I bet I would have that problem too Grandpa Bob! I think gardening is something that I would really enjoy. I know when I lived at home and we had gardens I was in there all the time helping my parents!

I have never started any of them indoors. I just put them straight in the ground. It is still pretty chilly here in the mornings, but it is warming up to about 55 in the daytime. I can't wait for it to be warm all the time.

We still get frost overght. So the plants would die if outdoors. The average last day of frost is May 15th. But seems I may plant a week or two earlier this year. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Cherry and Grape tomatoes are the greatest. Each time I go outside when they're growing I grab a bunch to munch on as I work in the garden etc. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~
