Some great advice

Some may say its selfish...but isn't it true that we should always look out for number 1? CYA? I am all about helping others and being there when people need something, but ultimately if you give too much and don't take care of yourself, it really can catch up to you. Wouldn't you agree?

I believe we should also take care of ourselves to be able to help others more. And, there are times we are just tolerating some people's laziness so we should also see if we are giving for the right reason and to the right people. It's always good to help, but if it will make a person to be more dependent, then it is not helping after all.
As for striving to be number 1 always, that is not necessary in my opinion. What's good is to do our best in anything we do.

I guess there is nothing wrong in saving some for yourself. Saving some for yourself is not a bad habit for as long as you still share what is extra in your life. Sometimes giving too much might really hurt in the end especially when there is no return on the effort you made.

i agree im like you i give more then i recieve and thats ok.but when it comes down to it i need to start caring about myself more.i alway make myself second and im not being fair to myself.why not make myself happy for a change?
