I have another bush I would like to share with you all. I have to trim this one. I did it once and trimmed it the wrong time of year and that next spring it did not bloom . So I had to do a little researching and it said for me to trim right after the blooms go away. So when these blooms go away I will be trimming this one. It is a form of of Azalea just that the blooms are larger.

Well, we just recently bought a house, and along with that house is 3 or 4 nice Yellow Rose bushes. Some of them are definately a little overgrown, and I am wondering when is the Best time to cut them back as well. So maybe I need to read up as maybe you should so we can both learn what is the Best thing to do for these as well.

You certainly have the proverbial green thumb. I've always wished I could grow some kind of plant or flower bush, but I am kind of scared I'd kill it. I'm wonderful with kids and pets, but don't let me near a plant! The bush is absolutely breathtaking by the way. You have a real talent. Look out Grandpa Bob!

Gorgeous, Chevee! You certainly know how to grow azaleas!!! I know the bees in your area are VERY happy that you do! I've noticed bumblebees around azaleas more than honey bees, yellow jackets or any other kind of bee. They must be buzzing ALL around those bushes, merrily collecting that nectar!

Hi there and smile! Azaleas come in a wide range of colours , white, pink, red, purple, orange and yellows, as well as many multi-colours. There's single and double flower varieties, there are varieties with tiny insignificant flowers but popular because of their deeply coloured leaves. All of them are beautiful plants worthy of a place in any garden, but the single flower varieties are the hardiest and more suited to sunny positions, but they do have a more limited colour range than the doubles. The first thing to do is decide where in your garden you want to grow your azalea plants. If you are planting into the ground, try to find areas on the South and East side of your home, where they will be more protected from very hot sun. When selecting the areas keep in mind that the single flower azaleas are more sun tolerant, but still need to be protected from the very hot sun, and doubles will always need to have moderate shade. Happy mylotting and smile always!
