DO you cover your nose?

When someone sneezes or coughs? It became an instant act to me that I cover my nose when someone sneezes/coughs even of he/she already covered his/her own. I'm not comfortable with it. I tried not to but I just don't feel like it. Am I overacting or do some people do it too?

No, i never covered my nose when someone is sneezing or couging beside me and he/she already covered his/her own. But when he/she is doing it in front of me, i will try to keep away from him/her. I understand if you are not comfortable with it and cover your nose as reflect, some of my friends also do it. Some of them said that they are afraid if infected by those people.

yeah, it's an instant response for me and maybe because of the fact that I'm aware I have weak immune system. Thanks for responding. Happy mylotting!

Same as you, when somebody sneeze or cough I instantly cover my nose actually even I'm walking or stand by waiting for a bus or jeepney especially in the street I always make sure to cover my nose because I don't like the smell of the dust and the smoke of the vehicles. Well, when I go outside the house I always bring handkerchief so that I can used it as a cover in my nose since not all the time I can assure that my hands are clean.

I do that all the time, i mean whenever i am about to sneeze. That way one saves others from their own germs. I wont call that overacting, that just shows that you prefer to be clean and keep others safe. But yea, when the other person doesnt cover their face, then i seriously dont like it and try to be away from that person. The worst is when having food and someone sneezes at that time without even covering their faces. But thats a rare scene now-a-days. Normally people cover their faces. You will see mostly kids not covering their faces as they dont realize the fact of germs then.

I hear lots of people do this, but it really doesn't do much to protect you

Hi, I just see the distance. If the cough or sneeze happen at a considerably distant place, I mean not affecting or touching me in noway, I do not cover my nose. But it is too close and is likely to affect me I do and I think every one should do that. I do not think there is anything to feel bad.

I don't you're over reacting, I am doing the same thing. Probably because of habit to close mine when I sneeze, I do the same thing when someone else sneeze. It's not like I feel like it's dirty, especially if he/she already cover their mouth, my hand just automatically cover my nose and mouth.
