I know there is some controversy about organic food. I have heard that sometimes companies certify they are growing or selling organic food and there are no investigations about that by National authorities. I mean, who's going to guarantee that we are eating organic food? Do we have to trust these companies? Is their own word enough?? I guess not. Please let me know what it is like in your country. Thanks!

I live in Germany where each supermarket offers "Organic" products at higher than normal prices. To me it is a total waste of money. There is no guarantee that the products are really organic, they don't taste any better and according to many research reports have no nutritional benefits. Some Germans insist on organic products and will not eat anything where the "use by" date has expired, even only by one day. The same people will drive at over 200 kilometers per hour (120mph) within 4 meters(13 feet) of the vehicle in front of them. I know that when I use fruit and vegetables from my own garden that they are fresh and free from chemicals.
