Yes, it is true.
Some news is too strange or funny to comment on without reading it first. Here's such a case.

I say the police are probably fairly amused. Wonder what the judge thinks?
What do you say?

The guy is pretty dense. No doubt he was humiliated. So, he takes steps to make sure people hear about it around the world. What a genius.

I'd be tempted to dismiss both cases as a waste of time. Neither punishment or rehabilitation is likely to be effective with either of these two.

I am not sure that I quite believe the story. I think I'll take it with a grain of salt but it was amusing.

Your are smart to be skeptical of this story. It does not have that ring of truth to it all. Most guys this happened to would ask to see the woman again.

One would think where ever this woman works will have many robberies in the future.

It is very possible that the judge will think justice was served.
This guy will be lucky if he isn't also charged with breach of contract after complaining when he had an agreement in place.
She definitely took the crime out on his hide, and I think he will think twice about robbing someone else... or they will start dating...

By now they are probably engaged with a multi million dollar contract to do a reality show.

That is just too wierd. I can't believe the reporter used a JCM reference. Also, the lazy reporting was actually only reporting on what another 'news' source reported.

I'll forgive the lazy sloppy reporting. The story was enjoyable for amusement.
