The way I prevent myself from doing this is by allowing myself 1 piece of something bad for you a day. it helps to cut out the cravings and still stay on track. Another thing i do, I crave ice cream, so i get those pudding pops and eat those...it really helps!

I agree to them that deprivation can make you gain more weight. For my experience depriving to eat food that I like makes me depressed and I can't lose weight. I think you should allow yourself to eat the food that you like but in moderation. Have a regular exercise to burn the calories.

Well, the problem stems from total deprivation. If you are craving something, allow yourself to eat a LITTLE of what you are craving. Sit down at the table and put it on a plate. Don't be distracted with TV or the computer. Concentrate on the food and enjoy eating it. After that, tell yourself that that is all you are going to have of that food you were craving and carry on with your day. If you get totally side tracked and binge out, just remember to get back on track as soon as possible. Don't punish yourself for a little transgression and enjoy yourself. Life is short, diets are definitely hard. Remember to reward yourself when you reach a milestone - not with food, but maybe save up for a clothing item or something you want to buy for yourself. Keep up the good work.

Dont put yourself into the mindset that you've "ruined" your diet. Just pick back up tomorrow. And what are the cravings for? Salty? Sweet? And if you're just looking to kill cravings, chew sugar-free gum and drink lots of water. The gum makes you feel like you're eating, and the water fills you up.

Its alright if you eat a littl but not more. Always in mind that you are in the diet and you have the plan to have that exact measure. Everything we do there is an advantage and disadvantages we have to choose whether we want to make it or not. So if thats your goal try to limit and discipline yourself for that its the distractors of our aims.

I find if I just incorporate a little of my weaknesses into my diet, I'm much more successful. That way you don't start craving it so bad. My weakness is candy, but I just get a few of those mini candy bars and have one at night. It's nothing big, but it curbs the craving without the binge.
