I do always add tags whenever I start a discussion but not always add tags when I answer discussions. I do not remember reading on the FAQ about having paid if we put tags though.

Discussion tags are used to help people search for specific topics they may want to respond to or read about. From what I know it does not effect your earnings whether you add tags or not. It is helpful though. For me it all depends on what I'm writing about or responding to. Sometimes I do add tags other times I don't. It's really hit and miss with me and really for no particular reason. Sometimes I just don't feel like it! lol

When I start a discussion I do add tags. The purpose of tags is so that you tag it with words that are saying something of what is in the discussion. The only time I don't do a tag is if I am responding. Other than that I always tag my discussions. I don't know if there are any earnings from tagging the discussion.
