I am so sorry for the trauma that the big dog cause you. If you asking about me whether i like dog as friends? Well, yes. We even consider them as part of our family. By the way, we have four medium build dogs. And we really love them all.

I was bitten by a chihuahua and a rottweiler - a big dog and a small dog. I have 2 labs right now and used to have Dobermans. I love my labs. They are the sweetest things going. They are my babies in spite of being doggie senior citizens. One is 10 1/2 year, the other will be 13 years this summer.

i am kind of neutral about dogs, nor hate nor love.....i like them as pet creatures but i think personally for me, i dont have that much free time that i can look after their health, care and other things, i have enough responsibilities, taking care of my children, hubby and home....so they are NO for me...but still i dont hate them.

Guess I have been fortunate not to of been bitten by a dog, yet there again I have grown up with dogs all my life, my parents always had one, now I have two of my own, they are big dogs but as soppy as anything and very over the top with affection, not all dogs are nasty, sometimes we have to face our fear to overcome them, maybe you might try getting to know someone with a big dog and learning to trust it won't hurt you...littleowl

Big or small, they are all dogs. I've been bitten by a small dog and it hurt just as badly as I imagine a bigger dog bite would 
It's all in the raising I think. I have a very large dog but he doesn't bite. He would bark at a stranger but then he runs away from them rather than attack. He's my big baby

That would be scary to be bitten by a big dog. I can see why you are scared of big dogs. I was never bitten by a dog but my son was years ago. Thankfully he did not become afraid of dogs through getting bitten. I think you would enjoy a small dog. They make such good companions.
