natwest trophy wonder boy md.kaif's poor form off late has cost him his place in this year's ipl in south africa.dropping of a senior player like kaif can raise a few eyebrows but the fact of the matter is kaif is himself to be blamed.apart from his fielding credentials he is very average or mediocre batsman.in the off season he should have tried to improve his hitting abilities.he didn't and lost his place.

he didnt have a great season last year but i feel that they should have given him atleast 2 matches before packing his bags.ofcourse if it was ordinary cricket,it wouldnt have happened but its a money game and they dont want to pay him for just playing 2 games.i believe he is better off with domestic circuits as IPL is not a good place for proving any talent.

i feel that was the right decision by the team. kaif to me is more of a test player than a 20-20 player. he can excel in the one-day side not in 20-20 side. hard luck kaif.
