Why? Just why use the save on Matt?

I know the girls just wanted to use it on anyone, but way Matt. I think Lil should of been that bottom one and sent packing, but Matt was the next one. I really thought America was going to get it right and send Lil home this week and then Matt next, but I am scared now. Will America get it right or will having the bottom two send someone good home. All I can say is at less Adam is going to be save because he is the one who should win it, but I am scared for a few others. Do you agree with the save? Should they even have the save if they are going to use it like this? I Want the best person to be picked and the worse to go home in the order they should, but I hope this save doesn't ruin it. Was the save worth it for Matt? Simon is right he won't win the competition and doesn't have a chance at winning it so why save someone like that? At less we don't have to worry about the drama of the save every week even though it is funny to watch. And also would you of rater seen scott be saved over Matt. I think Scott is way better than Matt and has a future. I just don't get tonight's decision.

I'm not a big fan of Matt but I think he deserves to stay because he is hard working. Maybe the judges have used the save because they can use it these week and only until next week or so. I just wish Lil will be voted off next week, she has a great voice but I think all of them has. I'm an Adam fan and I wish the fans will keep him on the top because he deserves to be there.

that is true about Matt, he is working hard at less, but so was scott. I think Scott worked the hardest. So I don't know. Yes Adam must stay. He is amazing I think. Lil just seems to be on a down ward drop. She better go home next week I am just scared of that other person who also goes home next week. Wait so the judges had to use the save by a certain time?

They actually thought of saving Scott but they might also thought that it is early to use the save. Perhaps they are not really happy about the decision and don't want to make the same mistake this week. Scott will always be a winner and he already made his mark.
Next week will be really scary. The judges doesn't have any save to use anymore. Even the theme is a bit hard.

Yes yes yes it is going to be really scary. I think scott wasn't saved because Simon realized that what if Adam or Allison was in that bottom spot and getting eliminated. He wanted to use it for its purpose so that's why scott wasn't saved. We now look back and say why not save Scott if that's how they wanted to use it. Scott could of made it small but he wasn't going to win it. Well hopefully nothing bad happens next week.

i am a MATT fan, and also of anoop, matt for the week's performance deserves to be in bottom 3 but not anoop, back to the topic, i am a MATT fan but i don't think he deserves to be saved... because if america voted tight, he shouldn't get the boot, just my opinion, he had hits and misses, but lil never had a distinct hit, not demeaning lil here guys, but aside from the judges praises, we haven't seen a stellar performance from her, week 1 danny and adam week 2, anoop, matt, kris, adam, allison, week 3 adam, matt, anoop week 4 adam, kris week 5 adam week 6 kris, anoop
sorry, matt has good weeks, for that he deserves to be in top6

I was shocked to see anoop down there. For some reason no one votes for him. If someone does that good get on the phone and call for him. Keep the guy around. You can't send someone home that does that good the week before. America better keep him out of that bottom 3 next week. Don't want to be scared he will be one of those two to go home.

I thought Matt did the worse, then Lil...the rest did a great job. I hate the fact that Anoop keeps on being in the bottom 3, even when he does amazingly well! Matt is quite talented, just that he is very forgettable. I don't know why that is, but that's the truth. There are a lot of times when he performs that it blows me away, but after a few hours or the next day, I don't remember him or his performance! I just wish Matt actually does something that blows everyone away every week, just to prove that he is worth the save. I think Lil has been quite lucky, coz she has her okay moments, but she doesn't pick the perfect song for her. Though, she always looks great! Kudos to that!!

I dont agree with saving Matt, I do not like the save to begin with. I am glad it is over and we never have to hear about it anymore. After next week there will only be five left so they had to use it this week or next anyway. You knew they were going to use it at some point even if it got down to the last week they could.

I agree I don't think I like the save either. I was like ok it could get interesting with it and save the one who should be save and win it instead of America picking the wrong person, but it wasn't used for that. It is a popularity contest so the save could of worked but using it this way they are better just not having it. Thanks for you opinion and I agree there is no need for the save, especially getting used this way.

i have not seen the last episode and judgin but i can definitely say anoop should go home rather than lil or matt.

well wish you could of seen anoop this last episode he was one of the best. He was unbelievable in my mind. Anoop is never horrible too, but he has some amazing showings some time. Wish you saw it your mind would of been changed on this.

I don't agree with Scott being better then Matt. But as to your question, I have no idea why they used the save on Matt. I would have saved it throughout the last two weeks, just in case a Daughtry thing happens and Allison or Adam end up with the least amount of votes. THEN I would use a save. Simon even said (and I wholeheartedly agree) that Matt can't possibly win this competition. But this does add an interesting dynamic: two people must go home next week.

I totally agree with you. Save it in case someone amazing goes home. Isn't that the point of it. Also save it for someone who does amazing that week and doesn't deserve to go home. If someone can't win the competition then way save him unless he did unbelievable the week before. I don't get the decision. I don't think any of us do. I think I even wish they didn't even have the save, it just creates too much drama.

To me, Matt had one really good performance and quite a few iffy ones. Based on that, I would say he doesn't have a chance to win. Therefore I would not save him.

I'm a fan of American Idol. This season, I watched every episode - from the audition till last night's episode, and I think that they have very talented contestants. This year, though, the show got really more intersting because they have another judge, Kara, and new rules, including being able to 'save' someone only once throughout the whole show. Well, I would like to say sorry to those who are rooting for Lil, I like her, too, but she should have been the one voted out, and not Matt, and so the judges wouldn't have to use the 'save' just yet. Matt's last performance was not that good compared to the previous performances he had, but he keeps on surprising everyone with his talent - singing and arranging song compositions and making them his own, just like what Adam does (only Adam does it better..but I'm rooting for Danny, actually!)

Yeah. I'm not a huge Matt fan either but I'm glad they used the save on him. This guy did well last night and I (or we) know that he can really sing. He also received fair reviews from the judges which is why I think he deserved the save. If it were Lil though, who supposedly got the boot then they probably wouldn't have saved her. The "best" that could happen next week is for both Lil and Matt to go home.
