I have not watched any news from a week for now and got shocked by this one. It was this TV anchor, whom is my idol in news casting, that is also a suspect for the shooting of his wife in their own residence. The police said all of the folks inside the residence are considered suspects. But there are irregularities with the statements of each of them and how the evidences speak. Although we have to respect the privacy of the family. I am just here to bring the issue and hear from you fellows.

Well I am disappointed at how the policemen acted on this. Well in Ted's case I think they were a bit careful about how they would treat him but all of his household helpers and drivers were taken rather irresponsibly. They should have allowed them to get help form their own lawyers but it seems that the police never allowed them to be assisted by their lawyers.

Yeah from what I believe is that you can do obstruction of justice when you can first establish that there are grounds for it to be murder. If they can establish there is some kind of fishy and they could determine that there was indeed some kind of collusion between the family members then they can file obstruction of justice. but right now they could not even detain their suspects that long because there is not enough evidence to prove so.

I have been watching the news the since yesterday. Ted Failon is negative in the paraffin test which proves that he didnt shoot his wife. What is saddening though is how the police authorities treated the relatives and house helps as if they are animals. Forcefully arresting them without warrants. it is very sad and questionable. Even the most evil criminal deserves to be treated like a human being. i hope something will be done to this.

I think they are not suspecting Ted as the one who shoot his wife here in this case but about that paraffin test on Ted which turns to be negative, it does not mean that he can't be the suspect.

This is how funny our Philippine National Police is, most of them I guess are not graduates, nor if they have graduated they are not using what they were taught, if they were taught well. My empathy is to Mr. Ted Failon and his family. They were being harassed by the police officials. This is the police scenario in the Philippines. PNP ( Philippine National Police ) is ranked as one of the most corrupt department in the Philippine government agencies. The PNP is not to be trusted they are junks of people who must protect the people of the Philippines, yet they are the scariest part of the Philippine society.

So far, I think there are a lot of issues that need to be cleared. Why did the Failons cleaned the bathroom where the body was found? According to Ted, this is to avoid his youngest child to be scared which is I think raw considering that he is a media man and he knows how important evidences are. Anyway, I just hope that the truth will come out sooner or later. By the way, I don't agree the way ABS-CBN are covering the event. Why don't they allow other news media to interview Ted?

Why would the police consider the Failon family and their household helpers suspects? Is there a crime committed? I thought the investigation was being done to establish if there's no foul play in the incident. So why is there a talk of suspects and obstruction of justice? I guess media and police statement blown this out of proportion. Nowadays, the right of information seems to be interpreted as the right to know everything even just speculations. The right to speak means having no restraints on whatever you say on national media. Can't the police have just done their work without the need to answer every interviews that come their way? Can't the media keep off reporting on "tsismis" (looks like allegedly or di umano are such common used words in reporting today) and just focused on the facts?

If ted failon is indeed still airing his show while this incident happen, he cannot be the suspect, obviously, for he was not there when the wife shoot herself. however, if he was already in the house while the thing happened, all people living there is considered suspect.

Although there some irregularities with the statements according to the police, I still don't believe Ted can do it. I just hope someone did it not Ted.

It is obvious that members of the household of Ted Failon are conniving to protect somebody. The crime scene has been tampered and the incident was reported hours later. It is unfortunate that something like this happened to a respectable fellow like Ted Failon. I dont think that the investigators would find out the truth on this incident. For me, the truth would be revealed if the wife of Ted Failon would speak up after she recovers. If she would remain silent, the truth would forever be sealed.

Well, from the looks for the succession of the replies, this issue is pretty much hot and burning here in mylot. I have read some of the comments and I had one conclusion. This conclusion is not about the case anyway. lol. I am just proud that we Filipinos are intelligent. I have seen several comments that talk of substance here. I really love judicial proceedings, crime investigations, and the likes and this is one of those times again where procedural matters will take into place. Thus, the battle between emotional views against legal proceedings will come in. I was wowed by several comments and I commend you guys for bringing in substance. Great job.
