If you were travelling a long distance and you found yourself stuck in desert would you last longer in a cold desert like Gobi or a blistering hot inferno like Sahara?? Why and what would make you last long? Plus what three items would be handy for you at this point?? Personally I would survive longer at Gobi desert as I think i cope better in winter than summer. My three things would be my bible, a compass and hot cup of tea!! What would be yours??... very curious xxx

i'm with you, i'd go for the gobi desert. people don't dehydrate quite as quickly in the cold, and i have enough fat to keep me warm! i don't like hot weather.
if i were lost in a desert i would want a gps, a cell phone, and my computer! the three things i can't live without no matter where i am!

Survival is dependant on the availabilty of water. Since that is the one thing that is certainly absent in the Sahara, I'd opt for the Gobi and add a shovel to my three items so that I could dig for water in suitable places. A compass would also come in handy and a satellite phone (solar powered of course) for when I got tired of the Gobi.
