why do we dream

why do we dream? what do they mean? are they trying to help us out with reality, or are they like little movies in ur head of what u wish u could do. let me know your imput

dreams drive me mad! i had one last night where a woman whispered a name in my ear and i did not write it down!!!! in the morning i could not remember it. bloody frustrating!!!!!
