I am recently submitted an initial application for Social Security Disability for my Bipolar Disorder. I know Social Security will say no right off the bat; it’s what they're known for. I was wondering if there was any who has successfully been granted disability for Bipolar disorder. I would like to know the process you went through, how long the process took, ect. I do have assistance; I'm hoping that will help the process a bit easier. Any insight would be appreciated!

Get a lawyer! That's what it took for my mom to get it for her mental issues. I think it took her atleast a year or two. As you are not able to work for well over a year before most can apply and that puts quite a hardship on people as it is.

I never knew you could get disability for Bipolar Disorder. I've had trouble staying at the same job ever since I started working. The longest I've stayed at one job is 6 months and trust me it was only the support of my boyfriend that kept me there. Being able to get Social Security Disability for Bipolar Disorder would really be a blessing. Sorry I don't have any information to give you, but thank you so much for helping me out!
