Have you noticed the mylot clean up today?...

Well... i instantly noticed when i was commenting to the responses to my discussions... one minute there were 12 responses... and after i clicked post comment there were only 11... and the one deleted was the one written by a member who only had like 2 posts... It happened again with another one of my discussion... there were 15 responses... and afterwards... it decreased to 13... well, at least they did not delete the whole discussion... but i did not see any violations in the responses... i guess they were made by members who eventually got banned.. So... have you noticed this clean up today?... did any of your responses or discussions got affected?...

I know that I lost a few cents in the past few days. I assumed it was from threads that were deleted. I don't think I've ever violated any of the Mylot rules! I would like it if they just deleted the post that is in violation rather than the entire discussion, that would definitely make it more fair for everyone!

Well, some discussions are deleted not because they violated the rules... but i think because the one who posted them has or had some issues with the mylot admin... but the clean up can be a good break for all of us... even if it means losing some cents in the process... Thanks for the response...

I agree with this. Its not our fault if we reply to a discussion that soon to be deleted for violation. After all we never know that it will be deleted or commit a violation rule.

Being a member for more than two years now... i learned to keep away from discussions that i know would be deleted in the long run... we just need to be updated on the do's and don'ts of this site...

Just read the do's and don'ts carefully... and follow them... most people who got banned violated the don'ts in one way or another... Thanks for the response... welcome to mylot and i hope you enjoy every minute of your stay here...

I have not noticed but I would not be surprised. It was the 15th a day ago, and that is where we get the boasts about payment and did you out do me cash wise and the surprise that they made money here. I have been too busy to even notice, but had I plenty of time on my hands I would have seen, but I am not counting. Do not have time to do that. I did not know that members who were banned get their responses deleted unless they broke the guidelines. Guess one has to be careful.

I was not really keeping count... but i was commenting to responses like what i am doing now... and it is very easy to notice especially when the number of responses is not that many... i guess those members also got their responses and discussions deleted... Thanks for the response...

I quite agree with you. A lot of my posts were deleted today and though I felt a little sad about that but it is necessary to keep mylot spam free and clean up.

The mylot clean up is really needed... i have seen other forum sites turn in to trash because of the number of spam that the admin do not even bother to delete... it is just a good thing that the mylot admin is doing its best in keeping this site clean and condusive for learning... Thanks for the response...

This discussion is supposed to be a month old but I guess it holds true even today...just this morning I logged in and didnt quite notice where I left off yesterday (guess it was 5490) and after two responses, I am at 5491...so one response got deleted somewhere...oh well! by now I am immune to these mop-ups...I dont care which got deleted, where and why!

Same here... these deleted discussions and responses are like a natural occurrance here in mylot... and we will all experience this one way or another... so there is really no need for us to be sad or mad about it... but be thankful that the admin is doing its best to keep this site clean... Thanks for the response...

I sure have noticed - I reckoned this is because of content that is either not quality content or not by the terms... The terms do change a bit from time to time, I think, since things I haven't seen while signing up now appeared...

The do's and don'ts does change from time to time... they add some don'ts but not a lot of do's... like before... it was not forbidden to start discussions about one's birthday... but now that is not allowed... Thanks for the response...

I haven't noticed that they have been cleaning up. I don't think that I have lost any money here and so I am not too worried about any of it. I try to watch my earnings as I know that I can keep track of them fairly easily.

I also do not notice if i lose some cents... since i know this will happen from time to time... and they don't really deduct that much... but i am just glad that the admin is doing this clean up... we don't want this site to turn into a trash dump of those who nothing better to do... Thanks for the response...

Hello aseretdd, I didn't realize this when I first read your discussion. Since I didn't post new discussion lately, I don't really take note of this. But I did my own clean up. I went to check my friends list and deleted some who have less than 20 posts, not active here and the ones that I know got banned here.

I am planning to do a little friends cleanup too... there are those whose account was deleted so we can no longer access their profile page... so no use keeping them in our friends list... Thanks for the response...

I have to say it was nice observation by you that noticed such a small change. This might affect our earnings as we also earn by amount of response we get to our discussions. Yesterday in one discussion I read about the old er discussions that we had started if gets response after lot of time still gives the income to founder.

I don't really think we earn from the number of responses that we get from the discussions that we started... but if we comment to these responses with quality... we get paid for that... so if we get 100 and comment to that... then... just do the math... Thanks for the response...

I'm sure you will find that if you COMMENT on the responses to your discussions it is that which causes your earnings. It is your own activiy which rewards you not the activity of others.

I didn't notice it at all. What I did notice is the decline in the number of responses I have been receiving. I used to have more than 10 respondents per new discussion in a day but now I only have an average of 5. I was thinking it's because of the topics I've chosen...but I don't think that's really it... Thanks for the response on my discussion!

I think it is just because a lot of active members are quite busy nowadays... i myself was not able to response to a lot of discussions because my hands were full with work stuff and household chores... but thing here will be busy again... and that is for sure... Thanks for the response...

I don't think I would ever notice this kind of thing. You have been here for a while now and it seems that you are very active here but I have been only active for the last 3 days and in total I have started only 4 discussions. But it's not strange at all that some posts are removed because it's clearly stated somewhere in the agreement between us and mylot that some posts will be removed if they violate the terms of service.

I have been a member for more than two years now... and have experience my own share of deleted discussions... even if i did not violate any rules... it is just a good thing that the admin would only remove the response and not the whole discussion... Thanks for the response... welcome to mylot and i hope you enjoy every minute of your stay here...

It will be hard to notice such a thing when you are a newbie... but if your discussion gets deleted... then that is very hard to miss... so expect your number of post to go down from time to time... Thanks for the response... welcome to mylot and i hope you enjoy every minute of your time here...

Hi! One of my discussions must have gotten deleted because I tried to find it in the list of discussions I started. It wasn't there so I started the same discussion again last night. This time, it showed up and I've gotten several responses to it. Thank you. Kathy.

I haven't been on here in a few days and had not noticed, sorry. If they only had a couple of discussions, though, maybe they had been inactive for so long that their account got deleted. That would be one possibility.

Yes, that is a possibility... i have noticed that some members accounts are no longer available... and they are those who are no longer active... i wonder if the admin will also delete my account if i decide to be inactive for a few months... i hope not... because i will surely return... Thanks for the response...

most likely somebody reported an abusive or inappropriate response and Admin deleted it, happens now and then...

The responses deleted were not actually abusive nor inappropriate... but they were oneliners from a new member... maybe it was someone that the admin wanted to block because of a certain reason... well whatever it is... i am just glad they did not delete the whole discussion... Thanks for the response...

I didn't notice anything. I don't read how many responses are in the dicussion, that's the reason I didn't notice a thing. But there should be a reason why they got deleted, and if eventually the member got banned, what is the most possible reason they got deleted? Or they violated the policies in other discussions and mylot decided to delete their a/c.

A lot of members here in mylot got banned... and there are times when the reason/s are a mystery to us... but if we are not doing anything that is against they rules... i think we don't need to worry about that... i have been a member for more than two years now... and i hope that will be the case in a very long time... Thanks for the response...

20 is a big number here... that is like my activity for one whole day... just be careful in responding to discussions... since if they get deleted... then your hardwork goes to the drains... because your earnings will also decrease... Thanks for the response...

Base on the number beside your name... you are a new member here so you won't really notice... unless the number decreases... it would be nice if you could respond in detail because we do not get paid for oneliners... Thanks for the reponse... welcome to mylot and i hope you enjoy every minute of your stay here...
