Are you a pet owner or have an animal friend?

Since I´ve had dogs living with me, and loving me and taking care of me, I have found more and more inadecuate to say that I´m a pet owner. Misty first (until she died) and now Lola (even though she´s still a puppy) are not animals I own,but part of my life.
How about you? What is your relation to your animal friends? Are they pets?

I agree with you. I have two dogs (one named Lola coincidentally enough) and they are so much more to me than pets. They are an important part of my family. I credit my first dog Rhody with helping me decide what I want to do with my life. Before I met him, I was a college graduate with no direction. When we adopted him, he gave my life a different direction and has filled me with a purpose. Now I work as a vet tech at an animal hospital and one day hope to start an animal shelter so that I can help dogs and cats without homes and hopefully give their new owners' lives as much meaning as they have given mine.

i have one dao who is 15 years old. she is a blonde cocker spaniel. she is alot of company to me.

i usually check to see what kind of errors i have made & correct them before i send them but seems i didn't this time. lol cocker spaniels are a good pet & have been around a long time.

I find myself typing incredible madeup words with my clumsy fingers
. I love cocker spaniels. One of my best friends had various Trixies and Princes over a 50 year period. They are intelligent and good companions.

I got a female German Shepherd and i love her a lot and she loves back more than we all in our home give her .. pets become like children and they love being pampered. Once they are part of your home they become part of your life and if they die then it is a real sad day. i had a dog when i was kid and she was only 2 months when somehow street dogs got her and killed her.. i know i didnt eat for 2 days.

My puppy Marley is like my baby, i carry him around like a baby and i spoil him like no dog has ever been spoiled before. To me he is my baby i love him more than almost anything in the whole world. He is the happiest dog ever and he just brings so much joy to my life how could i call him anything other than family.

What breed is your dog? Sounds like a little dog. I can´t call Lola a baby although she is just 4 months old. She is a geramn shepherd and I wake up every morning to find her bigger

I don't consider my dogs as pets. I consider them as my friends I can lean on whenever I have problems I can't discuss with my mother and friends.
