What are you doing to enjoy your life?

It seems that more than not, we keep hearing how bad things are- people loosing their jobs and homes, can't get work etc. etc... Well, I'm just not one to buy into it. Yes, things may be hard, but there are jobs out there and plenty of money making opportunities. I think success starts at home and you have to enjoy the simple things in life and appreciate the people and things around you today. It is so easy to miss the opportunities out there when you are focused on how bad things are. Bad thoughts have never made anyone's life better. Now I know it is hard to stay focus on enjoying the simple things God gives us when we are trying to figure out where the money is coming to pay the bills but now is the time to get back to the basics. Here are some things my family and I are doing to have fun and save money: We found a place in the yard to create a fun pathway for the kids to run through. In the pathway, we planted some vegetables and flowers. It's not much, but we had fun creating it together, the kids love running through the pathway, and hopefully we will have carrots, tomatoes and zucchini to cook together soon:-) We read books and tell each other about them, go for walks together and play board games. We also try to come up with ways to save money and help the environment together. WE love to paint and come up with creative ideas too! What are you and your family doing to have fun and save money?
