I've always honored my own mother and been happy to on Mother's Day, but this will be the first time I'll be a mother too! I'm so excited I can hardly wait. All I want is my husband to get a silly little card and sign my son's name to it! I'll be the happiest mother on earth! What will you be doing on Mother's Day?

I spent my first mother's day in the hospital. My daughter was born on mother's day. It is really cool to be a mother, and I feel that I have to live up to my role every day. Being a mother means so much. You have little people who look up to you and it doesn't change throughout their lives. You are now and will always be their mother. It is an honor.

Hi daneg - that is so awesome! I don't think I quite fully understood how much I was going to enjoy being a mom but I do! Thanks so much for the response!

I will probably be doing the same things I do every day, diaper changing, baby feeding, ect. but hopefully I will have a little more help and hopefully a card from each of my daughters with some little stick-figure rendition of what Mommy looks like to them or them handing mommy flowers, that's what I usually get. And of course, those sweet sticky litte kisses!! :)

Congrats on the new addition. I will spend time with my two boys as they like to make me pancakes every year.

Hi wastedconfessions and welcome to mylot! I would love a pancake breakfast but I'm pretty sure my husband would just destroy the kitchen so I'll settle for a nice card. Have a great time with the boys and the delicious pancakes! Thanks for your response.

Hi neera...You're absolutely right - I should take better care of myself because my son depends on me so much. Thanks for the response.
