Do film stars make good politicians?

We love our movie stars, and they know it only too well.That is why, many of them hope to convert their star power into votes when they join politics. But can reel stars be real leaders? Do you think cinematic success translates to political success? Can stars make good politicians?

A movie star would have the attention they would need to be a politician, but with too much exposure on their private life, I don't think that they could be a good politican. A friend of mine said that a movie star act in the movies but a politican act in the real life.
But, though a movie star, or we should say celebrities can not be a good politican, they can be a political tools for the real politican to get to their politic objectives. They can use idols to draw more attentions and public sympathy. But the star themselves, well... I don't think they should go for politics.
