This recipe is one of my own, personal, home made recipes. I came up with this one on a whim while trying to make an ordinary apple pie better then ordinary. This came out SO good I entered it into a contest online and WON!!! You just have to try it (and please be sure to post your comments on what you think once you have tried it!) This is so easy to make too! Filling: 2 cans Comstock apple pie filling 1/2 cup raisins 1/2 cup crushed walnuts 1/4 cup evaporated milk 1/4 heaping teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 pinch ground ginger 1 pinch ground cloves 2 punches ground nutmeg Topping: 1/4 cup brown sugar 3 tablespoons flour 1 pinch cinnamon 1 1/4 tablespoons melted butter Crust: 1 Keebler Graham Ready Crust Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. In a large bowl mix apple filling and dry ingredients. Mix well, then gently fold in the evaporated milk. Pour the mix into the pic crust. It will be heaping at the top. This is ok. If you follow the recipe, it will all fit into once crust. In a separate bowl mix brown sugar, flour and cinnamon. Mix well then add the melted butter. Gently fold together. The mixture will get clumpy. Break up some of the clumps but leave some as it will give the pie a crunch topping look and the clumps taste good once they are baked on the pie. Bake the pie in the oven for 15 minutes, then turn the oven down to 325 and continue to bake for 30 minutes. When it's done, place it on a cooling rack and let it cool for one hour, then stick it in the fridge for another hour. Once it has cooled for the hour, it's ready to eat!!
