Ted Failon Family Tragedy: Abuse of Police Power?

While Ted Failon and family are right now suffering from the alleged suicide tragedy of Trina the wife, there were complains that the police has abused their powere when they they try to arrest Ted's family members for the case of Obstruction of Justice. This is when they cleaned the area where the incident took place. In your opinion, do you think it is really an abuse especially that they don't have an arrest warrant? I suppose you also saw that scene on TV news, and you know that Pam (Trina's sister) was not arrested but a brother instead. No hurting words please.

It is NOT an abuse of power. They tried to destroy evidence and are thus guilty of obstruction of justice. I do not understand why people look at the police as the abusers here when they were just implementing their procedures. Are we a nation of uneducated cry-babies? We should watch CSI more often.

Then your argument is just TOTALLY off. Were they put in jail? They were simply taken in for questioning, paraffin tests performed and all. What WRONG with that!? Besides, they cleaned the evidence and that constitutes a violation in itself. Watch CSI please. Or perhaps you need cable connection to update your episodes. I think those people are guilty. And don't give me that nonsense about a "grieving" family. If they were really that caring, then they should have kept things the way they were. Why did it take the hospital to report the incident and not the family itself? Ted Failon is in the media and he should know damn well about police procedures. Or maybe, he is just totally ignorant like the rest of you. Ignorance of the law is NOT an excuse.

Yes, the police investigation of the case is really disappointing! The way they arrested the family members, it was like they were so sure that those people were the ones who killed Ted's wife. They were just "suspects" but they were treated like the criminals already. I got really pissed off when I watched that on TV, the police system is so unorganized and rusty!

How the police arrested the family member was really embarassing. We saw it on tv. If there is really a foul play, then I guess everybody is considered innocent until proven guilty. So they should act like they really are the proper authorities, but are they really after what they have done to the grieving family?

That's what I could not understand...if it was just obstruction of justice, what the police did was an overkill...from what I saw on TV, the family of Trina was arrested, handcuffed and shoved just like hardened criminals...I am really appalled at the seemingly abuse of power, and I sympathize with the family for being treated like convicts, and for the sensationalism...

Well, i dunno what the whole incident is about.. ALl i know is that, police should not arrest anybody if they dun have an arrest warrent.. It's illegal in a way and that they can sue the police for any damages done.. ON top of that, police are always abusing their power as and when they like, so that has to be solved within the police department itself.. No matter what, a police has got no right to hurt anybody..

I think the way they treated the members of the family, arresting them without warrant is already an abuse of power. Policemen, or law enforcers should follow the protocol. What if it wasnt a celebrity thats involved? will they do the same ? or they'll do worst than that..

The police were harsh as you have seen.No one parent would allow any of their children to be treated like that
