Hell's Kitchen? Too hot for regular television?

I am a huge fan of Hell's Kitchen but don't you think that Chef Ramsey goes a little overboard? I mean cussing at people is bad enough but calling them names such as donkey and pig is even worse. I know there is a reason that he does it and I am pretty sure that most people tune in just to see what kind of outrageous crap he will do next. Would you still watch it even if he didn't act that way or do you think it would be just another boring cooking competition?

I am not a fan of Hells kitchen I don't think anybody needs to be talked to like he does, Yes I think he goes to far.of course that is my thoughts.Lot of people watch him or it would be off the tv by now. If he would not talk like that yes I would watch because I like the other cooking showes that are on.good night

I just tuned in last night for the first show...the cussing is in over drive on both sides!! Ramsey has even thrown in the name calling, but the chefs being interviewd are throwing their fair share too. I just get tired of all the near constant bleeping. Although I could probably take that better if they'd just stop being so arrogant when they interview! Good grief.. they screw up big time...send out cold items that should be hot and burnt items and even that major waste of quite a few pounds of speghetti last night... sometimes there just aren't words for such stupidity! Plus if these people had any kind of cooking talent they wouldn't be doing such stupid idiotic things and Ramsey wouldn't get so disgusted with them!

I was myself surprised with the way Chef Ramsey corrects the people. They say that good motivation is the key to make a person change. But with the way he had been doing it, I think he is successful with it. I am just not pretty sure if I can handle such yelling and cursing.

I don't really watch it enough to care.. but thing is.. there is a difference between motivation and humiliation. I don't see any motivation there.. just the humiliation.. but at the same time.. pay attention to what you are doing and you won't get the humiliation. In this current new season just opened last night.. I don't think there is a single "chef" there that is capable of handling hte winning job of chet at one of his resturants. They don't have the talen, maturity or experience to do something like that. I mean... good grief... how hard it it to NOT serve something cold that should be hot, and NOT serve something burnt!!! Open your eyes nad look at what you got... that was just stupid on thepart of the chef.. so I guess humiliation is what they deserve. I just get tired of the near constant bleeping... and now the chefs are pitching their cussing on the interviews too.. so it is nearly constant bleeping and it bleeps so much.. I sometimes forget what they were talking about in the first place!

I love Hell's Kitchen. One of the best cooking shows on TV. I honestly don't think that I could watch it if Ramsay wasn't who he was. It just makes it that much more entertaining. I really do love his personality and he tells it like it is. You are in a competition to own your own restraunt so I think these cooks standards have to set the bar a little higher. As he said in an interview with BBC he is hard on his contestants because: 1. you want them to use the position as a platform to continue thriving and learning. 2. But when you've got the arrogance, the confidence and you can't cook, then you look stupid. So it's only a matter of time before they get exposed. However never, never knockout that kind of confidence from a young chef to begin with because you need that... I want to inspire them and push them to the limits 3. there are a bunch of them that make basic errors like not turning the stove on and you wonder why the food is not cooking. These are only a few things but there are many reasons why he comes down on the people that he does.
