so my dad had the driveway resealed he gets this done about every couple years has the same guy do it and he does a nice job. it seems like everytime he decides to have it done it rains or maybe it just seems to. he had it done a few days ago and the day he had it done it was nice and sunny, so he had everyone at the house park in the grass and he decided to leave the cars there one extra day so it could get nice and dry and boy did it rain. i mean it rained hard most of the night by the next day i think they got over an inch of rain. my mom and dad had planned on going out for lunch the next day but had so much rain the cars we kind of stuck in the yard and you couldn't really get them out without really tearing up the yard, anyway so now the yard has skid marks kind of like you would see on the racetrack. anyone else have this happen when trying to do something to improve your house? i'm thinking dad left the cars in the yard one day too long. but at least the driveway looks nice i'll have to tell him that next time i see him.

Oh, that's too bad. Long. long ago... when I was married, we painted the van ourselves and did a great job... The paint was dry but hadn't really cured when we got a freak hail storm a day or two later. The nice smooth finish turned into a pebble finish! Not quite the look we were going for.

that would really suck at least in this case it was only the yard that got torn up a little. it was already in bad shape from winter. it would not have took much to make it any worse then it already was. my dad decided that since the yard was already in bad shape why mess up the driveway that looks so nice and shiny. driveway looks like new now so i guess that the grass will grow back. its dad's yard and he can do whatever he want to it is the way i look at it as long as he is the one messing it up.

Yes, as long as it's he that's messing up his yard, he can't complain.

That is kind of hilarious! Do these sorts of things happen often in his life or was this just a random occurrence?

its actually very rare with my dad he is a very intelligent person. its just sometimes he knows that he should do one thing and does the other figuring it would be ok for one more day and as far as the other day goes we weren't supposed to get as much rain as we got so that's what he gets for listening to the weatherman.
