President Obama has found a new best friend at the summit of americas conference Hugo Chavez the president of Venezuela. Hugo Chavez only two weeks ago called President Obama a ingnoramus and now they are laughing and shaking hands. President Obama seems to enjoy meeting these communist socialist thugs at these conferneces. President Obama found another new best friend Raul Castro brother of Fidel Castro who wants to have a new relationship with President Obama and America. read the rest of my blog article at www.herringpost.blogspot.com.

What would you rather have had him do when he met Venezuela's President, Hugo Chavez, at the conference they both attended...punch him in the head? While I do not like or trust Chavez or the Castros, I see nothing wrong with the idea of reaching out in an effort to work together and lesson tensions between our countries. Nothing may come of it...nothing may change...but this economic crisis is a global one and we all need to try a different approach. As long as it doesn't threaten the security of the U.S. I don't care who the president opens a dialog with.

Of course Obama enjoys hobnobbing with his socialist buddies. He probably is seeking adice from them on how to make the U.S. more socialist quicker.

Wow, by this standard there are a lot of "best friends" walking around without knowing it! I guess it is now a bad thing to be civil or even gracious to someone if you do not share all the same views? Annie

Obama should have been a lot more dignified with Chavez instead of doing the "brother" handhake with Chavez. Obama never seems to get it right. He treats our long time allies like dirt, sending them inappropriate and insulting gifts and then he treats our long time enemies like best friends. Obama is scary and he is alienating the people he needs the most. As far as Cuba goes, it is past time to heal those wounds. Cuba no longe has ties with Russia and we cannot tell them that they are mistreating their people considering the way some of our own people are being treated. Shalom~Adoniah

Well, it's a summit, they all play nice there, well, usually. With Obama loudly proclaiming that he wants to open up dialogs with everybody, it's not surprising that he is overly nice to those two. Just recently he lifted many restrictions in regards to Cuba and there seems to be more in the works there. Might be good, might be not good. If you want to read bad stuff into it, we are switching alliances, upsetting the Brits and playing nice with Castro and Chavez;)
