Well, I have been working on setting up an online store selling some clothes and accessories and I must say that it's really a lot of work and I am taking a rest now, and I think I will work some more tomorrow, hopefully it will worth all the efforts. Have you had any experience of selling online? What do you sell and what's your experience?

I want to start my own online store in the near future. I'm planning on making the things myself and I would love to have my own clothing range. It's definitely a lot of work but don't give up you will get there in the end. I would love to have a look at your online store if you could send me the link.

Thanks for the interest! I wish you very good luck in having your own online store with your own clothing range, that's really great! Will you be designing and making your own clothes as well? That would be hard work but surely it would be interesting! I am just starting my online store and I am doing it in a blog style, so people would browse through more leisurely. The link is: http://beauty-tricks.com/beautytricksstore/ I will be posting more clothing items and accessories tomorrow as well *smiles*.

Hi, me and my mom are looking through options to open an online store aswell to sell the clothing we make. It has turned into more than a hobby and my mom would love to open a store for it. We are getting information from the government, people who have allready started, etc. We try to be as well educated on the subject as possible before we start out. It does take a lot of effort but if you really enjoy this it will be worth the effort.

Hello wondericequeen, I had an online store selling books before but I stopped after I finished all the books that I had. It was not easy to sell a book and sometimes the client demands just too much. I want to re-start the business and trying to find a better way to solve the previous problems that I had. I know sometimes it is just too tough to do anything online but at least it is worth trying.

No, I haven't ever sold anything online but I have been thinking of selling some of my gds used clothes one ebay. I know it will be time consuming. My gd has sold some of her daughter's formula & medical supplies on ebay with great success.

I used to work for Australia's largest ebay seller (at the time). We had 3 different ebay accounts and sold various items, mainly dvds and cds. While I learned a lot about online marketing, selling, promoting etc, and had a lot of fun, in the end the company fell through and we all got laid off...which was a shame, but there are so many competitors out there, and by dropping our prices to keep up etc, we were losing more money than we were making. It might be a good idea to sell something that you don't see around too often, something that could be classified as hard to find, so you have a better chance at making it online. It's going to be hard, but you can do it :-)

I agree with you. As currently I also sell some products via the net but I haven't got a business for a long time:) The competition is very serious:) I sell some accessories, houseware products and so on. I love China

I have sold online and luckily I was pretty successful at it. I use to sell on ebay until their fee's got too much for me to deal with. Believe it or not, one of the best marketing tool's online is Myspace. I had a business myspace page and added a lot of people who were interested in buying jewelry and once I had over 500 friends on my list I was getting orders daily. But since I had many health problems since last year and my son keeps me really busy I haven't sold online in a long while, but I do sell my jewelry to a local metaphysical store now which isn't as demanding as doing it online.. Good luck!

i sell my artwork online. from my experience and the experiences of artists i know, it seems that the best way to sell is to sell on an online venue that people know of. for example, i sell more artwork on ebay than from my website. i sell my work on other know online venues, too. on ebay, there is feedback given to sellers by buyers. based on all of the positive feedback i have received a buyer can tell that i am a reliable person to buy artwork from.

My goodness, three pages already! wow I have not sold online yet. IT is sooo much work. I would like to sell things that people can recycle to make crafts and so on. There is a company here, Pbay that will sell stuff online for you, but they like things that are around a hundred dollars.

I'm 61 yrs. and got laid off, bummer! So for the last few months I've been spending at least 8 hrs. a day trying to learn affiliate marketing. There are so many choices and so many rip offs! It's hard to find a niche, I have met some really great people out there, and learned a few tricks. One is it ALL costs money, no matter what they say you need to spend cash to make cash! I good way to promote is with safe lists and it's free or you can up grade, I'm going the free route but have gotten results with these. Contact me for a couple of good ones! From what I'm hearing the people have really tightened their belts and more people like myself jumping on the band wagon is making it extremely hard to make any sales! I wish you luck and remember, promo, promo promo is the key! tdemex

Hi I have sold items on ebay. They have the english one www.ebay.co.uk and the american ebay www.ebay.com. It is very easy to take a photograph of your item and put it in the auction - you can state what the least price you want for it too. If you do have a lot of items you can join ebays shop I think then you can sell cheaper but at the moment you dont pay anything to put it on ebay if you start the bidding at 99p.
