I recently quit smoking and now all I can smell is stale nicotine. The owner of the house before me smoked like a chimney, so its horrible. I can't seem to get rid of it no matter what I do. Its driving me insane and making me nauseous. Anyone have any tips or tricks for removing the nicotine smell?

This may be drastic measures but if you have the means to do so, then here is my idea: take up the carpets and throw them out, prime the walls with a stain blocking type paint and repaint the walls, burn incense of a scent that you like, and open the windows, every single one of them and leave the place to air out for a day, after the incense is burned down to nothing before you leave.

Yeah, that is a bit drastic lol. But I do like the incense idea, maybe that alone will cut the smell. I just can't afford to majorly overhaul this place, and it wouldn't be worth it in the long run. Eventually I'll move though. :)

That and glade plug ins, those don't cause a fire in the place and smells good all the time, just have to change the scent packs every couple of weeks and leave the windows open all day on nice days to air it all out.
