My friend asked me the other day and I was stumped for an answer she said the min you become pregnant. The less your Doctor knows and the more everyone elde does, Furthermore and this was the mind blower most of her friends dont have kids she said its like you watch a weeks worth of docter Phil and your an expert. Anyway your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

lol Ive never been pregnant but I know what you mean.People will constantly put their two cents in on what they think is the right way to do things. Mothers/Mother in laws tend to be the worst sometimes too. Its jsut one of those things you have to see for yourself before you really know what its like and what to do to help benefit your child. The advice they uisually give is useless half the time. No pregnancy or child are exactly the same as the others.

That is so true i agree with you 100% and they tell you things from the 80s and 90s but things have changed so much you really can't say if you do this then the baby will do this, its frustrating but funny too.

I think they want to show how much they care about you and you future baby, so they start giving expert comment on it. I also think it is the nature of humans to give comment and to take credit for it, as if they knows everything and you don't.

Thank you for the post. Im sure she understands that people mean well. I think shes just very frustrated the a majority of the advice she gets is not only bad its just flat out wrong. Of course this being her first pregnacy prob adds a lil fear factor to it as well. Oh No now im starting to sound like Dr Phil, Crap!!!

Many people may want to care about you and your baby. This depends on the idea of each person. Perhaps someone else will think they know more than you now.

Its truly aggravating to have people tell you what they think they know about how to have the perfect pregnancy. I personally feel that if there is something I need to know ill ask the doctor.

I Think like the poster before said that people really are trying to be helpful. reguardless of how agravating that may be. I know in my friends case she has a great doctor and mom who have been able to give her good solid advice about her pregnancy. Thank you for taking the time to post
