What should truly good Christians do according to Jesus?

1. Truly good Christians should not be hypocrite.
Matthew 7:3-5
Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.
2. Truly good Christians should not be jealous.
No Christian can call himself a Christian unless he is free from envy. For envy is not from God. Any one with envy in his heart is unclean and disgusting unto God.
Mark 7:21-23
Envy is not from God, and it makes man unclean
3. Truly good Christians should not make revenge.
Romans 12:19:
Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place unto the wrath of God: for it is written, Vengeance belongeth unto me; I will recompense, saith the Lord.
Matthew 26:52
Then Jesus said to him, “Put your sword back into its place. For all who take the sword will perish by the sword.
4. Truly good Christians should not be slanderous.
Matthew 12:36-37
And I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
If humans do things as said above, at least, the wold will be much better. Our Lord, Jesus Christ, taught many things to the mankind. Please add more if you know His teaching and wisdom.

Thank you for your response. But some people don't understand what the definition of love is. Thus, Jesus showed how you should love your God and neighbour. Human beings don't understand the meaning of God's words. Love can be selfish and unselfish.

For yourself, you know what the meaning of love is. But for others, they may not have the same understanding as yours.

All these things are possible only in books. But in reality nothing is possible. Overall we have to change ourselves according to the situation.

Hi friendship, The teachings of Jesus are clear and I feel that we need nothing more than that found in the Sermon on the Mount, inn Matthew's gospel. Jesus also summaries the law in Matthew 22:37-40, indicating clearly that love is the fulfilling of the law. Blessings.

I agree with everything you said. In addition we should look after the poor and needy people. in our community. As it is written, true religion that God honors is to remain unspotted by the world and to look after orphans and widows. A true christian lives out a life of love and charity.
