At what age is it legal to buy alcohol in your country?

In the UK, you have to be 18, but in most supermarkets now they say 21. I think they are required to ask for some ID if they think that you look under 21. How about in your country?

It is the same here you have to be 18 but they do have signs saying you have to be 21. They will ask for id if unsure but is it not strange that is the legal age is 18, that they will have a sign saying over 21 ?

I did wonder if it might be different in different states in the US.

21 here. 18 in the UK, huh? I always thought kids got a pint with their school lunches. I grew up near the Mexican border, so on Fri and Sat nights we would all go to Juarez and drink. I guess I was about 15 when I started.

Before the 90's came around it was 18 in the United States, Now it is 21 and i believe that to be a good age. It's the same age to enter a club i guess maybe because there is a lot of drinking going on in those places. I know a lot of kids go on cruises with friends because in other countries they let you drink at the age of 18 and they want to get drunk and have a good time. Some places really do enforce this law and others don't seem to care at all.
