To buy or not to buy a new printer?

The Thnker Statue - The masterpiece of Auguste Rodin.
It was originally designed for the Gates of Hell, It was originally designed for the Gates of Hell, but instead became a stand alone sculpture that would earn him the reputation as the world’s best sculptor since Michelangelo.

My printer run out of ink this morning. I went to a shop to buy new ones. To my surprise, the price of the cartridges that I needed can actually buy a new printer!I went home .... having a good thought TO BUY OR NOT TO BUY A NEW PRINTER?If I replenish the ink and use the same printer, I will be contributing to the Green environment. On the other hand, if I buy a new printer with the inks included to the price, it will save me money but what do I do with the old printer which is still good for action? What would you do?

I use an old printer also. When we need ink, I just go on Ebay and buy some. It is much cheaper there on Ebay than buying a new ink at the store. I do not like to pay full price for expensive new ink.

Thank you for responding. Well I guess people have to buy more, while the global warming is rapidly damaging Mother Earth. I did not expect this when I bought my 4 months old printer.

i did the exact same thing bought a new printer for $28 instead of cartridge for $30. I donated the printer to my kids school and they can sell or use. This is to weird to think that ink can cost more to make than a printer when you think of all the moving parts.

Thank you for your response. It is really weird that manufacturers still sell this kind of printers and at the same time concerned about the environment. Double morality, I despise this!
