I want to ask this simple question to everybody that how much minimum money is required to become happy in life. Some person say that money is not requirement to become happy in life. But I not support this Because, if you don't have money then how can you fulfill or complete your day to day ambition of life. Money requires for completing our daily needs. Money requires for each and everything in life. It is the most important neccessities of life. Without money how can we complete our day to day activities. But, I want to know how much money is minimum so that, I can live live happily. I can fulfill all my neccessary ambition as well. I think day to day requirement is just completing our daily routine and live happily in each moment of life. Share your opinio about this issue.

Saviour-V teleports in... I have a discussion on the subject, although I haven't gotten too many replies. The short of it is that the "money is time" saying should be quantified. Which means that our time should be made more meaningful. Now, you might be asking the question, "How exactly?" Well, let's put it into mathematical terms. You get 60 seconds for every minute, 60 minutes for every hour, 24 hours per day, and about 365-366 days in a year. Assuming we take a basic year, and break it down into seconds: 60 seconds X 60 minutes X 24 hours X 365 days = 31,536,000 seconds. Now, that doesn't seem too much on its own, but what if we could multiply those seconds with a unit of the highest priced currency, like a Euro or US dollar, for instance? That would mean that you'd get a whopping 31 million, 536 thousand Euros / US dollars! Which seems like far too much money, in a way, but some of us wouldn't have it any other way (I mean, those who already make that much, that is...^_^;; ). Of course, even getting half-way through the equation is difficult enough for most of us; earning 86,400 in any currency in a day is a dream I'm working on, but it'll require supreme effort to reach it, and a good team with strong ideals to boot. And yes, if you share the same ideals, I could use your help here, comrades! Some say that money isn't everything, but in these times, money can make or break a person, so it's important to get yourself into a position that you never need to worry about needing anything. Wants are secondary to needs, although it's nice to have the occasional want, like a PSP, in my case...^_^;; Just my two cents on this issue. Feel free to comment on it. Saviour-V grins, and teleports out...

Saviour-V teleports back in for a moment... Also, I forgot to mention this, but it's important that you make this much BECAUSE you'll also need to give some back to the people who need it the most. There are a lot of people in need nowadays, but before we can help them, we have to get rich first, so that we're in a greater position to do good. And we cannot afford to be miserly about it. Saviour-V salutes everyone, before teleporting out again...

Saviour-V teleports in for a moment... Well, since you did ask the question about how much a person should actually have, money-wise, I posted up an ideal sum for the time, which was about 31 million for all the seconds in a year, or 86,400 for a day's work. Tagged to the highest currency, of course, in either Euros, US Dollars, or anything else that provides a high rate of return against your own currency. Ideally, that is. However, those that make that much are usually in short supply. Most of us usually end up with about, say, 2,000 dollars or so in a month on the lower end of things, which only means a few cents a day. In a way, it feels unfair, because we're not giving ourselves the chance to realize our true value, which is a whole lot more than a few cents in a day. Go ahead and divide 2,000 dollars a month by about 24 - 30 days, then, divide that sum further until you get down to either days or hours. Trust me, it's really not much, when you do the math. Saviour-V teleports out again...

The question is tough to answer. It depends on the social welfare provided where you are living. Here we are burdened by the medical care, children's education, old people living expenses, and potential inflation. The cushion should be pretty thick to really become happy in life. It also depends on the style of living you are pursuing. If content with a simple living, it is much lower, compared with what is needed to afford a luxury living. Whatever the case, a diligence and financial planning is a must for all.

..oh.. you may buy material things that you want through your money.. but you can never buy happiness brought about by love and care.. Money is needed as well as love in order to be happy.. you may buy a person but not her heart or love..

..well, in my opinion, only you could determine how much money you need to become happy in life.. of course you know what you want and what you need.. you could only be happy if you are contented with what you have.. I mean, if you are contented to eat thrice daily with 2 snacks, then you will be happy if you are satisfied with that set up.. However, if you want more than that, you have to set your goal as to what extent do you want to have.. we have different perspectives in life.. For instance, I maybe happy eating thrice daily but you are not because you want to have more than that, then what I consider to be enough is not enough for you.. Money is important but our happiness and contentment is more important.. I agree that we need money to fulfill all our activities.. however, money alone cannot make us happy.. money can't buy everything.. It is then nice to live each day doing what you love and what you think makes you happy.. just be yourself and set your goals.. achieving them will make you happy.. don't set a goal which you cannot actually achieve,, that will just make you unhappy and depressed.. Good day..

..no.. what I mean is, it depends where we feel we are contented.. well, if a person is already contented with what he has and he feels happy, then that's it.. but if a person is poor and he is not contented with his life, then he will surely strive to look for his happiness.. happiness and contentment always go together in my own belief..

i don't really think we need much to be happy in life. like what they say, money can't buy anything, including happiness. however, i still think that it is a factor in achieving happiness because how could you be happy when you're struggling to survive each day but still, we should remember that money doesn't cause happiness. it only helps us become happy. we should not make it the center of our lives and the reason for our existence. we should learn to discover more and go beyond what we see because that's the only way to achieve a happy life.

I am not talking about buying happiness. Just I am talking about fulfilling our daily needs, so tha our happiness level cannot be disturbed from needs of life.

If you are happy without money, then stop seeing dream of winning lottery as well. If you say you not required money then don't think of making money as well.

If you are sayng that money for survival only then why you dreamed money for buying house. You can live happily only when you can surive. Otherwise no survival no life and no happiness at all.

If only we still barter stuffs in exchange for what we need or want... Yes, I have to agree that money is a necessity simply because in this age, you cannot possibly obtain your basic needs (food/shelter/clothing/water) without money. Minimum amount? How about 2 million for each family? -- I reckon this would be enough to buy a decent house and a car, send your kids to a good school and indulge in a few luxuries from time to time. I can only dream of course!

There is no particular amount of money which can make a person happy. It depends on the lifestyle of the person, his personal needs and other material things that can make a person happy. A person who has simple needs can be happy even if he has little money.

An ideal life would say that we do not require money to have happiness. However, Maslow's hierarchy of needs states that we need to be able to meet basic needs to live - food, shelter, etc. Then security and social acceptance. Living a happy life is reaching enlightenment. Without money to meet our basic needs, we can never reach that point. Now, how much? Dollar value is difficult to give. It depends on how much we need and consume to be able to move to the next level in Maslow's triangle. I am on that point wherein I need to support everyone in my family. Yes, considering my pay, I should be happy. I earn 5 times as much compared to other folks. However, I am supporting a household of ten. I need to have ten times as much, and not 5, to maintain a comfortable life. No, I am not happy where I am now. I work hard, work so hard that I work for my family, and not myself. I do not hate them, rather, I love them so much I start thinking of them rather of my own happiness. Life is tough. I need to worker harder than my hard work.

You don't give me proper answer. We all have some needs. We have to complete our needs. We can't live happily without completing our needs.

what a hot discussion....according to me you must have an amount of money from where you can get a regular supplies of good and healthy food and a locality where you have trusted friends and a fixed amount of money income which must be that much that you save very less amount of money...and you must have a fixed lifestyle that must be boring but you will definitely remain happy....

Well you definitely need enough money to meet the bare minimum. But I guess, now that I think about it, it depends how you define happiness. If you are happiest when dying of starvation, probably a very small amount of money would make you happy. It really just depends on your attitude and perception of things.
