They really gave Edie a great sendoff that left people with a better impression of her than much of what had been painted in the past. They showed how she helped many of the other women, just in her own unique way. They also gave a reason for why she lived as she did, because she always thought she would die young. How did you like it.

I ended up having to DVR it dues to being busy when it was on so I am just now sitting down to watch it. I am only a few minutes into it where they are in the car with her ashes talking about the past with her. I wonder how long she will be narrating it, if it is just for this episode or all of them. I always like Edie but they she never really had a huge role in the show so I don't think it will be much different then before. It is nice that they are showing her in a different light.

I think her narration is only for this episode since they already have a regular narrator.

I agree it was a great send-off. I think the episode might have had more impact, though, if they hadn't just done a similar kind of thing with Beau Bridges' character only a couple of episodes before. I also think it highlighted how underused Edie had been - there were so many great storylines for her that should have been explored but sadly never were.

I was impressed with it. I loved the way that all the woman of Whisteria Lane were in the car together and told thier own stories about Edie. Then when they spread her ashes at the end, it was really a good ending.

I haven't watched that episode since my country is quite late when it comes to series like that... but i read the recap... and i must say that the writer did give Edie a great sendoff... she was always portrayed at the bad or b!tchy among the housewives... but she did have a very good side... I hope the writers gave more attention into developing the character... she was the one most left out... but i am quite happy with how thing turned out... even if she did die...
