I moved into this house with 4 trees planted in the yard and some "volunteers" around the fences. So far, I've only had one tree that I planted live, tho I managed to save another tree after the dumb dog of a former roommate tore all the bark off the orginal trunk. Now, unless I told you, you'd never know it had ever had a problem.

I think in your country the weather conditions almost all cool but here you can find summer, winter, rain seasons most of the time so most of the plants easily can adjust so are the plants can easily grow in your country?

I don't own the house anymore, the trees were an oak, an elm and I'm not sure about the other one. I plan to go back in 45 years so I can see the acorns though.

Hi Dasrai, There are plenty of trees I have planted in my life. I really felt happy and proud to see the trees I have planted in my childhood in my native place. There are plenty of trees around in my house including jack, mango, teak, coconut etc. I really loved to water the plants and I did myself all these works. Actually I was helping my mother and she had a small garden of vegetables too. After relocating to Delhi, it is not possible to do it because we are living in a rented house and there is no space for the same.

Speaking about this ... i think i have never planted any trees or plants before in my life. Now I am wondering how I am helping with the environment today .... Hmmm .... I guess i better go start doing it or at least plant some seeds as a start.

You like those kind of green thing, it is good a deed. I think should plant more trees in order to keep our planet green. I don't do planting, in fact, I sow all the seeds everywhere and let them grow by itself. Nice work. Happy Mylotting.

hi Dasari, my daughter and I planted flowers on earth day but never trees. I think she will definitely be a 'tree hugger' because she loves nature and all its beauty. I was never interested in any gardening, planting of the sort until she came along. Experiencing all of this through a 4 year old eyes is good for the soul. Unfortunately, the poor thing suffers from allergies so we are limited to what we can plant.

Being a nature lover is so happy because nature is giving each and everything to us but we are unable to give return to the nature so if we want to give something to the nature that is planting the good trees.

Hello Dasari100!!! Well I had done it once. We had a Tree plantation program organized by our club at a park where lot of people enjoy for the morning walk. There were many of us, but every one wanted to do so, so I got chance to plant only one that time. Also it was displayed on television. I was so glad to see my planting tree on the television. The purpose of tree plantation there was for the freshness. As a little side from the park there were lot of vehicles moving. And these plants could retain the freshness in the park. So far I have planted only one tree, but more plants hehe...Am If I get chance in the future I wont miss planting trees as it is really important. Specially, with lot of urbanization, tree are rare to find in the place I live. But before about 10 years, I used to see lot of trees on the both side of the road. I don't know which foolish government led them all down. Keep mylotting...Enjoy...Have a nice time....

I have planted some trees in our village when I was small children, it was very good experience & fun also, but now I am in Big city where you can't find as much as tree like in village. it is very sad thing. It is necessary to plant trees everywhere, you know very well after this global worming effect on earth. Trees are our god which gives many thing. like Food, Shadow, Water and yes Medicine.
