Do you always have to be surrounded by noise?

I love to be alone and be in a quiet environment. That's when I can think and daydream and come up with great ideas. Some of my friends can't stand the quiet. They must always have the TV or radio playing, or listen to music. Hearing noise constantly irritates me.
