What is the Good thing of having a Dell laptop?

I've been trying to figure out why Dell is a strong company as a laptop Brand even though they just purchase their parts directly to manufacturers around the world and they simply put in their Logo in there. Sony can be a good brand even though its expensive but the parts they use is made by themselves. So how come Dell is the 2nd to HP? Hp is currently holding the title to be the 1st.

I've heard good and bad things about Dell. I have a Dell Latitude D610, and so far it hasn't given me any trouble. I think its about 2-3 years old. i got it used so I could have XP rather than Vista. I do like HP better, though, so I think it is good that they're #1.

Dell is second because, quite frankly, their computers are junk. I bought a $700 Inspiron in January, only to have the hard drive fail less than six weeks later. I received a refurbished hard drive back. They even made me put it in myself! I am trying to get a refund so I can do myself a favor and buy an apple.
I'm a Mac because PC's are JUNK!
