There are Schools and Police departments that are holding Seminars on White Privilege for their employees. Having been involved in many racial seminars during the 70’s and 80’s this seems like a chance to bash the whites again. Being involved in schools for over 25 years I have had to try to explain to parents why their student did not get into the college of their choice, while minorities class mates with lower grades were getting into the same colleges. In one case a minority student with a 3.00 GPA received a free ride to a private school while a fellow classmate with a 3.25 GPA could not get into the first choice for college. When the student did gain admission to a State College there was a financial aid package of loans only to cover about 30% of the costs. The parents of the minority student owned their own business and appeared to live better than the parents of the non minority student who worked for a wage. Are these seminars bringing back a justification of discrimination towards whites and white males? Is it a way to hire a person who has the right political beliefs?
