For some reason it seems we tend to do bad on the weekends and when Monday comes we think ok I will start my diet today...or I will start doing better today...or I am going to start working out on Monday...
Are you like this? I thought I would ask since my husband said last night after dinner that today he is going back on the Protein/Low carb diet just to kick start his diet and do better before summer gets here...
I try to watch my calories, but when the weekend gets here I forget all about that... I have like 6 lbs that I want to lose to make sure I fit in my summer clothes when it gets here...
so are you starting your diet today?

Should have, but didn't.
Back in 2007, I used the Nutrisystem diet most of the year and part of 2008, especially after being diagnosed with diabetes. It helped me lose 25 pounds. I went from 250 lbs to 225 lbs. But then I have lost my job, so now I am no longer on a diet or any set routine now for that matter.
And gaind 7 lbs back. Dang it!
So tonight I ate healthy: tilapia and little bit of pasta.
Tomorrow is another day...

well you had to learn alot when you were on Nutrisystem, I know that those diets are very expensive, but what you have learned from it I would think is worth it...
keep up the healthy eating, and take care!!
thanks for the response.

Well, i don't really plan out my diet because most of the time i need to save up my money just for those cases where i need them for emergencies so most of the time, i only have a few meals per day or just a bread..y case is more of a matter of money then my weight, but the thing is i ended up losing weight in the process..I don't starve myself, i just eat less food nd more breakfast at home..^_^

That's my problem as well. I tend to procrastinate since forever. I am bit chubby and want to reduce one size down but cannot really. I have cut down on choc'lates and ice creams but still a lot more has to be done. I would target for 2-3 lbs if not 6.
Wish you luck!

I did it last summer after I had my daughter...I lost the 25 lbs I put on with that pregnancy....now over the winter I put on a good 6 lbs, so now I need to focus and lose that to feel better about myself...and I know I can do it.
thanks for the response...and good luck to you too!!

it just seems that the weekends get out of schedule a bit with everyone home and we tend to either eat out more...or more often...LOL
thanks for the response.

i hate the d word. i feel like i have gained weight since i have been out of work. i haven't been eating more but i have not been getting much exercise. i feel like i don't eat any worse on the weekends as every day is the same! today it is yucky raining or else i would have taken a walk.

its raining there too?? it is raining here today and tomorrow but the weekend is suppose to be nice again like last weekend... and we did get out and walk twice, and I will get out way more often in the summer.
I snack, that is my problem, I try to eat pretty good and I dont mind cooking, but with the winter we were in more and I did snack a bit... so I am going to have to start doing better.
thanks for the response.

Yes i have already started my diet again but eagerly waiting for next sunday to come where i can check my inches lost and also can eat anything on that day, as it is my treat day.
i usually never restrict myself on sundays where i can eat almost anything, but as soon as it is monday it is time for me to stop for everything and start with my diet thing.

I agree with you .. I have exactly the same problem of skipping diets on weekends.. Since weekends are not that systematic and forceful I let it go.. But on weekdays I have to go to work and everything gets into its place .. Yes I have started over my diet again lol.. I guess its not that helpful when you are planning to reduce some fat.. lol
