Do you go through all difficulties before you stop playing the game for awhile?

I got to thinking recently, and was wondering if any of you mylotters do the same thing I do, which is to play a video game through all difficulties atleast once before I stop playing the game for awhile? I like to do this now because my fiance and I bought an X-box 360 Halo Edition, and on most games their are achievements, these achievements are sometimes broke down for different difficulties, and I like to go through and do them all so that I can get the achievements, I also like to unlock secret achievements which I usually try to figure out for myself before going online and finding out what the secret achievements are, I also like to go through all difficulties of a game if it's new so I can see what each difficulty has that's different from the last, sometimes a level can have more bad guys in it if it's on a higher difficulty, and thus it's more difficult to get past things or do side missions to gain the achievements, of course that is if you have an Xbox 360 which I believe is the only console you can get achievements with, so do you do this as well and if so why? Do you like to get achievements? What kind of games do you play and how long does it take you to get through the game on the highest difficulty of the game?

As you know baby the games I play don't usually have difficulties. I do like to make the games more difficult in my own way, but since they don't really have difficulties I can't go through and play them 100% in different ways. Although Sims 2 on the game cube has things that can be achieved in different ways, your sims wants / needs vs that of an Artifical Intelligence Sim. Hmm, that's all I can really think of that can be played differently, of course with the exception of Zelda in which I think you know how that can be played.

I know that the games you usually play do not have difficulties, and I know that you do like to make the games more difficult in your own way,and since they do not really have difficulties you can go through and play them one hundred percent in different ways, and I know that Sims 2 on the Game Cube has things that can be achieved in different ways, especially when it comes to your Sims wants and needs compared to ones of an artificial intelligence Sim,and yeah I know how Zelda can be played differently to make it more difficult and more fun, thanks for responding,I love you with all my heart and soul, have a great day, good luck with all your mylotting, and Happy Posting.

Speaking of difficulties of the game I remember playing Devil May Cry 3 on PS2 and Devil May Cry 4 for the PC. These were the type of games I did go through the difficulties starting from easy up to the harder modes which made it nearly impossible to beat. After that I got tired of playing that game. Now for one game I do love playing but keeping the game in Ultra Hard mode is Tekken Dark Ressurection. I love the challenge and the edge of extreme combat martial arts fighting. To this day I still play it and am waiting for Tekken Bloodline Rebellion this coming end of September.

That is cool that you remember playing Devil May Cry 3 on the PlayStation 2 and I think my brother has that game, and he enjoys playing it,and I think he has Devil May Cry 4 for the PlayStation 3,and that is cool that those are the types of games that you would go through starting from easy up to the harder modes, and I bet it did make it nearly impossible to beat, and that is cool that you like playing Tekken Dark Ressurection in ultra hard mode, and I bet it is a challenge, and I think everyone loves martial arts fighting, can you tell me more about the game and what systems it is on?and that is cool that you are waiting for Tekken Bloodline Rebellion to come out in September,I am waiting for Splinter Cell Conviction which is supposed to come out in October, thanks for responding, have a great day, good luck with your life, and all of your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting my friend.

That is cool that you will generally only play through a game once and I am sure there are a lot of people who prefer to do that because they find it easier or because they find it more fun than playing through it several times, and I think when I first started playing video game,I would also play a game through once but as I got older I would start playing the games through several times on all the difficulty levels, thanks for responding, have a great day, good luck in your life, and Happy Posting.

i don't have a 360 so i don't play for any achievements. i usually start up with the normal difficulty and get used to the game and play through till the end. if the game is really really good, then i try a harder difficulty level. my most favourite game of all time is ace combat and it has 5 difficulty levels and i have beaten the game on the hardest 'ace' difficulty. devil may cry 3 is the other game that i enjoyed playing on the hard mode. currently playing COD4 single player on the hard mode but after playing a lot of multiplayer mode on this game, even the hard difficulty mode seems extremely noobish lol

That is cool that you do not have a 360 so you do not play for any achievements, and that sounds like a good strategy to start up on normal and get used to it and play it through til the end,and I can understand that if the game is really good then you try a harder difficulty level, and that is cool that your favorite game of all time is Ace Combat and that is has five difficulty levels and that you have beaten the game on the hardest ace level, and that is cool that Devil May Cry 3 is the other game that you enjoyed playing on the hard mode, and it is cool that you are currently playing Call of Duty 4,and I bet after playing a lot of multiplayer mode on the game even the hardest difficulty mode seems easy, have a great day, good luck in your life, and Happy Posting.

I like to try, but I normally get stuck in the harder modes of most games, I tend to play games that have one set difficulty but on some games, such as Prince of Persia, God of War, and Halo 2, I try to play through all difficulties... Halo 2 is the one that I've had the most trouble on, I can't get past the first level on Legendary, even with the help of my friend, who is better at the game then I am. However I am able to get through the levels afterward by myself... But when I do finish a game on all available difficulties I tend to set it aside either to play new games or to take a break from it until I feel the urge to play it again...
