We recently switched our cable company, not that there was anything wrong with our other service....my husband was home one saturday when I was doing some running around and the new cable company was canvasing door to door and when I got home he told me we were getting a new cable company.
We had WOW service and now we have AT&T, it is a great service and we arent paying much more than we were before, but this one has a tendancy to freeze up on us when we have bad weather... they came out and replaced our box and it has been working now pretty good, and we have been with them for 6 months...
Do you like your cable company?... have you switched lately? Are you willing to try a new company that comes in your area?

I dont particularly like my cable company but unlike you I dont have a option. My cable freezes in all weather and worse when it is raining. In addition the recently added a 80 % hike in the fees and the service hasnt improved.Whst is even worse is that of the 60 channels that they have given us only half that number is actuallly working most of them are actually ble screen so I would envy you even the caable provider you threww away. This situation obtains in acountry when you dont have options and no regulatory framework

oh I am so sorry to hear that about your cable.... I dont think I will complain about mine anymore... we have several companies that we can actually choose from, and this one is good, now that we got the new box.
thanks for the response.

Well, my cable sompany is okay, it doesn't like freeze on us or anything like that when we're using it. But the thing is, my brother applied for cable boradband...I'm not sure if these two are related or if they affect each other in any way, but the connection i get when i'm using the internet is VERY slow when someone's using the cable...In the end, my bro terminated the cable contract...-.-

I'm using Verion but they are no good at all, I'm using their internet connection service and it is terrible, I have signed up for this for half year and it gets problems very frequently, they came to the house and fixed it at least 4 times. I'm very not satisfied their service. I might need to switch if it happens again...

the cable co. I had before I went to Dish would go off all the time for no reason and stay off all day.And they keep going up on the price.I like my Dish so far I have had no trouble and it very seldon goes off when it rains. It is cheaper than cable here.Glad you found something that works

I would hate to have that happen to me freezing like that. I have not switched my cable company cause im satisfied with thier service and i have not have no problems with them yet. Now if a new one comes around in my area and has a better deal for the package i have then maybe i would think about switching.

thanks for the response.
since they switched over the main box, we havent had a problem thank goodness, but it was a pain there for a couple weeks and really anoying.
I know they are a newer company but we will give them some time to see how it stays this time.

Not at all...I REALLY dislike my cable company. It's Comcast, fyi. They seem to raise fees constantly, and make up more fees to charge you more, then they take away more channels every time they add another fee...and then to get that "one" or "two" more channels, you have to purchase a package...
Ugh...and, what's even worse, is they have an agreement with the state that I live in that says they are the SOLE providers of cable television....which means no matter what, I have no other choice...
Blah..
