a good friend of mine from high school had MD. They didn't let it stop them from acheiving their dreams. When they were born their parents were told there wasnt much of a chance of them making it past 10. they just finished college and have been married for 2 years now. life can still go on. you just have to live every day to the fullest.

Oh no, I wasn't saying that life could not go on, he has proven to me that life goes on regardless. We do live our lives to the fullest, everyday! I am just wondering if anyone out there is wanting to talk about knowing someone with muscular dystrophy. I have not been there to see every aspect of my boyfriends life, but I have seen and helped with alot. As for him, he does not let his DMD stop him from doing anything.

My brother is 28 and has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He is married and has a baby girl. Don't ever let a disability stand in your way!

I fell madly in love with a guy with DMD. We got engaged and then we were spiritually married. He passed away unfortunately. It devastated me. but the miracle out of it all, our love lives on because I because I became the mother of his child. We share a son together. He was my soulmate, my other half. I am thankful that I still have apart of him with me, our son. I know you two share a beautiful love. I wouldn't of traded our love for anything even though I knew his disease was terminal.
