I've always been a pro on organics and dabbing on anything natural and I guess everyone have had their worst days with a spot on the face once in their lives. I wanna know what you did that you didn't have to spend a penny and just strut your way to the kitchen for something healthy and effective to deactivate it. What was the best homemade recipe for blemishes for you?

I used painful remedies - either garlic or lime juice. It really is painful, especially is there's even a small wound on my face. It work though! (maybe just to me, but it does work) Not just that, lime juice made my skin fairer (we Asian prefer fairer skin) I also drink lots of water and made my own face mask.

I have acne and pimples since I was 15 years old, but now I have a very nice skin because of some home remedies. I mixed honey, lemon and mashed banana and applied to the swelling acne. Sometimes I put a slice or a ripe potato around acne and it heals the swelling. Then I drink carrot and pineapple juices because they are powerful antioxidants that heal swelling and cleanse digestive tract including bacteria.

This is something I read a month back from another myLot member's discussion regarding acne solutions. He said that he used plain vinegar and his acne cleared up in three days - and that he tried everything else before that but only the vinegar really worked. So what you do is put vinegar on a cotton ball, apply it on your face then leave it for around 30 seconds then wash it off with soap and that's it :) Just do that every night before going to bed. If you do try it, it would be cool to let us know of the effect :) I don't really have facial acne problems so I never tried it for myself. Thanks for the response on my discussion!

It's not really a HOME REMEDY, per say, but hydrogen peroxide (you can get at the store for $1) works pretty well at keeping your face zit-free, I've found. I wouldn't suggest using it alone (as I also use ProActiv), but the combination of the two works pretty well!
