Summer Rains!

I agree with you as well. I'm at Cebu and we're also experiencing the same thing. There are frequent rains lately which is kind of odd since it's summer. I wonder what would happen in this incoming rainy season. Heavier rains? Let's just hope that it won't be worse.

The weather condition also here in Davao City, Philippines is very extreme. At noon the city is under the scourging heat of the sun that I would not want to go out because it feels like I will be badly attacked by migraines. But during night time, heavy down pour is frequent with matching thunderstorm and lightning.

i don't want to experience summer with rainy days..i wanna spend it with it's cool wether..but on the other hand i am thinking it is just okay to pour rain during these summer since there's no class and we are just staying at home what is not so good if there's already a class because sometime we got late in the school..but anyway rain is a blessing from God..as a whole whatever whether we still must be thankful to our dear Creator.

it is a bit sad because here in baguio, we can't even feel the summer heat..:( its foggy in the morning and in the afternoon, its cloudy.. hmmmmm.. and its raining frequently..

yeah, it's time for hot baths again. time to use good old sweaters that are now dusty in the cabinet. time for frogs to come out again here. i stay in the country and i have to be wary of going out especially at dusk because of those creatures.

It's very strange to have these strong rain when it summertime, I hope that when Christmas comes, it wouldn't be hot as summer.

As I have heard in the past few months, there will be La Niña this year. La Niña is the name for the cold phase of ENSO (El Niño-Southern Oscillation) , during which the cold pool in the eastern Pacific intensifies and the trade winds strengthen. The name La Niña originates from Spanish, meaning "the little girl", analogous to El Niño meaning "the little boy". It has also in the past been called anti-El Niño. You are right, its hard to travel when its raining. I am thinking now what will happen to the travel plans of me and my bf as we have booked it already which is for May 6-19. We should be heading to the beach and some island hopping but I am not sure if it will turned out to be enjoyable as its always raining.

Hi paoxav! Seems strange things are becoming usual nowadays. The rain had somehow come earlier this summer. After feeling the high heat of summer season, we are now engulfed with rain in the afternoon. Just like a coin, this have a good and bad side. Just what you have mentioned, the rain had momentarily breezed the hot summer season, which is good since we are really experiencing some high temperature nowadays. The bad side, we could not do most of our summer activities which is usually being done outdoors. I'm just curious what will we experience after this early rain.

Ya, its so weird, I was just telling my officemates that its been raining for a few days now and its suppose to be summer. I don't know if the weather in other countries is just as unpredictable like ours. I mean everyone has outings and swimming plans, then it rains. You are right when you said its not going to be nice for the tourists, especially when the floods start and the trafic jam gets worse.

That's good for you paoxav...here in Cebu..its burning hot! I barely slept earlier...and the bad part is, I work at night so its really hard to sleep in the morning because its so hot.

Yes, the summer rains. Well, I am from Cebu, it was quite hot during the summer but we do had our share of rains. Nevertheless, it was really hot that electricity rose up considering that it is very difficult to sleep at night so I have to use the airconditioner most of the time. I do not like to use the electric fans since I feel pain all over if use the electric fan when I wake up in the morning. Well, the Pagasa has already informed that the rainy season has started. Whew, I could now save on electricity bills.

It is rainy season here in Delhi and last 2 days we had good rains . So , our mood is good here since we had seen 42+ temperatures in June for nearly 7-8 days and it was becoming too hot and uncomfortable here .

Hello good day to you my friend. Well, here in the Philippines the season summer is already here in our place. But just like I am also wondering why does even it is already and summer hot still there are times that the rain is falling for a unprediction time. Here in any part of the Philippines I know while the weather is hot they didn't know that the rain beging to fall. Well, even in Manila they also encounter the weather when there is a some sort of rain. In my own experience here in our place while in the morning the weather is hot when I know that it will never rain, my expectetaion became wrong because at the afternoon rain begin to fall and after the rain the sun will start to shine again. With this kind of situation, many people here in our place begin to have a unwell feeling like the feeling of having sick. In my own opinion i think the reason while this thing is happen, it's because of the pollution that we get by not maintaining the good status of nature. Were some people smoke which affects the weather condition and the unproper putting of waste which sometimes people burn it. With this particular matters that people do in nature it really gives a big contribution to the weather change. If people will continue it and the weather will also be continue to change, many people will get sick and get week because of this unpredictable weather change. I think people who always burn,smoke, vehicle that ignite black smoke must be stop and arrested because of the reason the time will came that our planet will be just like solid waste and no people will no longer to be alive due to pollution. That's why? Here in our place, I always join and participate in many activist about the nature because i really want to help other good people who want to save nature. I hope the population of concern people will increase for us to erase those bad matters. Now is the time to help each other. Well, I Guess my response is already long enough! Good day, paoxav. Yeah you are right. It is weird but true. After the extreme heat, rain suddenly pours. It brings colds due to climate change. Some people got sick here because of that. Walking under the sun and then got wet by the rain. So we must take care of ourselves. This is my response, happy mylotting...=)

Hi I'm from Bulacan and it rained like crazy just this early afternoon. The weather at the start of the day was at its usual hot, sunny day. That's why we took the opportunity to wash all the clothes we can manage and put it out so the sun can do its job in drying them up. But by early afternoon, the sky started to darken. And sure enough, it rained. And it rained really hard. There were added bonus, too. The loud thunder and the scary lightnings. I prefer the rain, though. Because our electricity bill is way too high for my budget to handle. I allot 4 thousand pesos just for the Meralco bill. Our electric fans doesn't help much with the hot weather. That's why we often use the AC.

Hi and hello there paoxav! ^_^ Good thing it happened! Whew! At least, it's not that hot now here in our country (Philippines). I love summer but, I hate it when it's really hot. hope the people on the beach will still enjoy their vacation despite the rains this past few days.. i like it when it rain, coz it only means one thing.. relaxation!! raindrops are like lullaby that make you fall asleep all day! i just dont like it when i have to go to work on a rainy evening! i always end up going to office wet and cold, coz the office aircon is constantly on. hope the rain stops later before i go to work..

It rained hard for two days here in the South. I think it was just right to minimize the hotness and humidity of summer. Actually, I was even grateful for it because I was able to sleep well for teh past two days because I don't have to wake up every now and then just to take another shower or drink cold water. However, I guess the sun's up now. ^_^ I just hope that it will not be that hot today.

I think summer is over. It's been raining cats and dogs these past few days. I love the weather, it makes me and my family feel more relaxed. My son will not suffer from rashes due to extremely hot weather anymore. I hope the rain will continue to pour in. =) so i wouldn't be turning the aircon anymore. Good night! =)

Summer rains are good because it will give us some relief from heat for a while but the harsher side of this summer rains indicates that the natural & usual season cycle is getting spoiled which may cause various catastrophies.
