Saw this incident one fine afternoon outside a fast food restaurant. While walking out of the restaurant this lady saw a teenage girl coming with a handful of things, so she hold the door for her. The girl walk out of the restaurant and pass that lady. The lady stopped her and their conversation below. Lady : Excuse me girl. Girl: What! Lady: Had you forgotten something?? Girl: What's that? (Rude) Lady: The magic word. Girl: What magic word. Lady: Shouldn't you have to thank me for holding the door for you? Girl: Oh! But you see I did not asked you to do so and you did it yourself. Why should I thank you. You are just such a busy body. And she walked off. Kids of today. What had happened to them?

It is normal things with kids of today. They are more then clever. But problem with thme is that they are no more kids. They loose there innocence in early stage of life.

The girl did not have proper manners. It is her parents to be blamed. She will feel sorry for her manner one day. Let's have patience and leave her to realize by herself. No use to teach her on the spot, go your own way and enjoy your life. The other thing I would say is better change the topic to avoid too general a statement to the younger generation, which might not be fair.

The moral lesson here is for us to help without expecting anything in return. Let us just help with a sincere heart.

This girl is far too rude. She needs to be taught a lesson. I can understand how this lady feels. I had ever held on to the door for someone who was pushing a baby tram, and this person just walked straight through. However, this was one of the few cases. Most of them looked, smiled, and said 'thank you'.

Hello Lynnchua, If that girl is my daughter, i will slap her and ask her to say sorry and thank you to that lady. I think with the high technical product we have this days, kids are no longer go out and have funs with kids, they just stay at home, play computer game, please video game. They don't know how to respect others. That's just so sad. I think the parents have to be the good model for their kids.
