In my lifetime (since 1963), the Democrats and the Republicans have had control of the White House and Congress. The government didn't seem to get smaller or less costly during the Republican years, and our civil rights didn't seem to gain any importance during the Democrat years. The fact is, niether major party has lived up to their hype. Niether care about anything but winning. Neither are worth defending anymore...whatsoever. That doesn't mean that there aren't decent Republicans or Democrats in office, because there are. However, the corruption that stinks up our federal and state governments has a lot more to do with the Unconstitutional stranglehold the parties have over our system. When we send Senators and Representatives to Washington, they are supposed to be the voice of the States and We the People at the federal level. For them to do their Constitutionally mandated jobs, each Senator and Representative would have to be equal to all the others. That simply isn't the case is it. Also, my Representative can't possibly be the voice of the district if he or she has to answer to the party leadership. The bottom line is, there is nothing Constitutional or honest about the corruption the parties have infused into our system. It is time we remind the criminals that run the RNC and DNC that they aren't mentioned in the US Constitution and they can kindly get their smelly butts out of the way.

Amen! But also this is the fault of the American people who keep electing these guys and don't do their research before going to the polls and many who voted for those crooks still don't look at what they are doing in office. All you got to do is follow the money all the way to congress to see what's gone sour in this country.

Yes, it is our fault, but that's no excuse.

I think you already know how I feel about this so I won't say too much more. For those who don't know, I will only say that to me, it is a deeply entrenched problem, both the two big box brands have become establishment parties and no longer represent the American people, the states or the constitution. There may be some scattered decent people left in both parties at the national level, but for the most part as a collective, they are a cancer on the system set up by our founders and have become exactly what our founders feared and tried to avoid.
