Does hamsters fall in love? And how do you know?

my friend's hamster when falling in love is always together when they go every where. And if ones of them was dissapear, it will be doesn't have any spirit for life. I think it like human :)

For me I think they do fall inlove. They also undergone some things people experienced. They get attracted with each other and get mature. My basis on this is when I bought a hamster and place it on my cage. The two hamster slept in different side and never play together. After days had past a little by little they live closely and soon make love. And now they had a sibblings.

Usually hamsters are solitary creatures, unless you have certain types of dwarf hamsters. And even then, I don't think those mate for life? I think they randomly mate based on cues.
